El Periódico – July 2019
Recap
The first week of July was an emotional rollercoaster for me. My dad had to get surgery to remove an appendix mass that had built up to the size of a cucumber. I had my yearly checkup and had a cavity filled. I got my grade for the Ethics class that I enrolled in June and it was an A. =) I went fishing and caught 4 halibut and 1 sea bass. It was a fun trip however it was exhausting as it was a 16-hour activity. We celebrated my wife’s birthday by heading out to our winery in Livermore.

Contemplation
Lo, soul, seest thou not God’s purpose from the first?
The earth to be spann’d, connected by network,
The races, neighbors, to marry and be given in marriage,
The oceans to be cross’d, the distant brought near,
The lands to be welded together.
—–Walt Whitman, “Passage to India”
